Nautix's Dana Herens Wins Pleatco Young Achiever Award 2021
Congratulations to our very own Dana Herens for winning the Pleatco Young Achiever Award 2021!
Since 2007, Pleatco, co-sponsors GENESIS® / Pool & Hot Tub Alliance, and media partner AQUA magazine, have searched worldwide to find the Perfect Pool Guy and Gal, along with a Young Achiever, a Lifetime Achiever, a Customer Service Star, and a Rising Star.
Each year, awards are given to those who exemplify a passion for pools and highlights the professionals who dedicate years of educating clients, aiding customer support, and serving the pool and spa industry. This year, Nautix's Dana Herens had the honor of winning the Pleatco Young Achiever Award 2021.
Nomination by Chad Freeman:
"Dana Herens is the perfect ambassador for the pool industry. With almost a decade of experience under her belt, she understands the importance of a professionally maintained swimming pool. Her dedication to our profession during COVID has provided a much-needed distraction and source of recreation for countless numbers of people. Ensuring a clean and safe swimming pool and educating clients on the best way to safely enjoy a pool during these difficult times was essential. She has been a dedicated soldier for our organization, performing inspections, assisting client needs, training staff, and servicing countless pools along the way. We would not enjoy the success we have without her."
Getting her start at Nautix in 2013, Dana has climbed the ladder and grown from a Lifeguard to Pool Manager, then transitioning into the field where she ultimately landed her role of Operations Manager. Her commitment and passion fuel her achievements, always striving for the next step. Nautix has been home to Dana throughout high school, college, and now graduate school. Finishing her Masters in Occupational Therapy, Dana plans to work in an inpatient setting at a hospital with dreams to work specifically with patients who have suffered from spinal cord injuries. The skills she has learned at Nautix has allowed her to grow into a strong leader who listens to her team and guides them to success.

Along with the prestigious title of 2021 Pleatco Young Achiever Award, Dana will be representing Nautix Lifeguards & Maintenance, LLC. at The International Pool/Spa/Patio Expo in Dallas, TX. Pool professionals from around the globe will be in attendance to learn about industry trends, technology, and the latest pool gadgets. Awards will be given on Wednesday, November 17th at 1pm in the Pleatco Booth at the EXPO.
